As many of my friends is already knows I have that penchant for pictures where’s vintage cars is presented in comparison with an old jet fighters. It’s something of a fetish for technology and for the times long gone when things were much simpler.
Today’s picture is a Lockheed F-94C interceptor jet with a first generation of a 1953 Mercury Monterrey, judging by a tail lights.
The F-94C, s/n 51-13554 is with North Dakota Air National Guard (178th FIS) as it clearly seen on it’s tail part. These interceptors were replaced by my favorite F-86D Sabre Dog in Air Defence Command and were transferred into Air National Guard squadrons where it remained in service until 1959.
